About Us

What started as casual breakfast meetings among a small group of women leaders quickly grew into something much bigger. We shared stories, challenges, and ideas—and realized there was a need for a more structured, intentional space to support and elevate women in our community. In 2023, those conversations turned into action. We officially launched a HSWLA, a non profit organization, to create a place where women could connect, learn, lead, and lift one another up. Our mission is grounded in mentorship, leadership development, advocacy, and community impact. 

As the first organization of its kind in the region, HSWLA has hosted monthly luncheons, community roundtables, and leadership programs that promote professional growth and civic engagement. The organization has launched a women-owned business directory, partnered with National Park College to offer a leadership academy, and joined state coalitions advocating for women and families. HSWLA is currently expanding its impact with new mentorship initiatives, its first round of scholarships for non-traditional students, and the launch of the inaugural Women’s Health Expo..
