Becoming a member of HSWLA means being involved in a local organization committed to advocating for women and diversity in leadership within our community. We firmly believe that by fostering a strong community of successful and influential women, we can create a positive impact in Hot Springs.
Luncheons- We have ten regular luncheons held on the second Thursday of each month. Each luncheon features an influential or educational local, state, or regional guest speaker. Luncheons are opportunities for you to receive professional development, and make new connections, build relationships, and grow your circle of influence. These are not sales or leads meetings. The purpose of the luncheons is to engage and encourage other women leaders within our community.
In addition to the monthly luncheons, HSWLA hosts special events or casual gatherings. These events are where members and their guests can interact on a more intimate level to turn professional acquaintances into personal friends.
Our members are professionals, executives, business owners, entrepreneurs, community leaders, leaders in civic and cultural organizations, elected officials, military officers and/or veterans, philanthropists, served and retired in any of these capacities and is actively involved in the community, or is identified by the Board as a young woman of promise. Women from all industries are represented and covers a cross-section of business sectors: public, private, and not-for-profit.
Members must demonstrate leadership, influence, and impact within their organization and/or community. Leadership can be demonstrated through title, role, specific areas of expertise, management responsibilities, or through recognition of work/achievements. Members should have broad influence either from within their organization or in the community, and serve on committees, boards, or associations.
Impact may be demonstrated through initiated projects, actions or process changes that show impact in the workplace or community. Members should also demonstrate an interest in learning, development, collaboration, diversity and inclusion, and fostering strong relationships with other women leaders in the community.
